I have been an intern twice , once as a creative writer and the other time as an entrepreneur.
When these internship opportunities came , i had no idea what to make of them so except for random lessons picked on these programmes, i never really got anything from them ; the reason was simple,i did not decide what i was interning for. I had no yard stick to measure my progress as an intern.
Its quite unfortunate how i wasted time and opportunity simply because i was not deliberate.

There is so much to gain from internships and apprenticeships ; it lets you learn from others’ mistakes and in business, it is truly cheaper to learn from others’ mistakes . I absolutely recommend it to entrepreneurs.
However ,when you choose to become an intern and/or apprentice, make sure it sets you on a path that aligns with your focus as an entrepreneur.
Here are a tips to help you make the most of internships/apprenticeships
– Render yourself to service, you cannot afford to be lazy or arrogant, make yourself useful even if it sometimes means running errands or working overtime.
-Be sure of what you want to gain primarily from the internship/apprenticeship programme, this does not mean you close your mind to other benefits,it just allows you pay more attention to aspects that are most valuable to you, it also lets you measure the impact of the programme.
– Be open to learning,do not run away from seemingly difficult tasks .
-Put up a good attitude ; people will become more willing to engage and teach you more, that way you get more out of the programme.
I wish you the very best as always
Yours truly,
