Jason was broke after 11 failed attempts at running a business.

He had tried several businesses which include a blog network, a t-shirt business as well as a web design company.

He was forced to move back to his mom’s house where he started an online Nollywood distribution company.

Jason realized the western world had Hulu and Netflix something West Africa was yet to experience.

Despite all his failed attempts at running businesses in the past, he took a plunge , did a background research on Nollywood, got financial help from his best friend, Bastian Gotter and iROKOtv took off.

Within few months of inception, Jason was able to sign a deal with youtube in Germany, raise funds (over $25M) from venture capitalists.

Today, Jason Njoku is the co-founder and CEO of iROKOtv, an online Nollywood distribution company with offices in Lagos, London and New York .

He has gone on to win various awards ; alongside his business partners, he has started a company called Spark, an investment vehicle for Lagos based internet start ups.

Spark initially invested in 11 companies including Drinks.ng, ToLet.com.ng, Hotels.ng.
