Courage and consistence in business: Linda’s story……

In 1998, Linda started her modelling career before she turned 18.
In 2004, at 23 she started black dove communication ; a modelling /event company.
Between 2006-2009 , she ventured into publishing magazines, she was able to publish 4 editions  but then she acquired a loan that landed her at the special fraud unit in Ikoyi due to her inability to pay up.
She overcame that hurdle but was unable to publish a fifth edition due to insufficient funds; and that dream ended there.
She tried to start a fashion, modelling and beauty school but was unable to raise funds.
She tried producing TV shows, ran an annual fashion show but could not get sponsors.
At this point she could no longer afford to pay her office rent so she started operating her businesses from home.
In 2010, at 30, she had hustled for 13 years and felt like she had nothing to show for it.
Through this difficult time , Linda kept to blogging and by 2011,companies started placing adverts on her blog.

Today, Linda Ikeji runs one of the biggest blog on the African continent, she has gone on the win various awards across the continent.
Linda Ikeji is that entrepreneur who chose courage and resilience over failure…….
