The diary of a Biznessvirgin : Phone addiction and Marketing..

`Digital detox

Just found out i spent over 43 hours (about 2 days ) on my phone this past week 👀 , not sure if this qualifies as nomophobia, however i know its a situation that needs to be checked . In perspective, i spent 25% of my time last week on the phone and after months of denial, i have to admit, i am not in any way immune to phone addiction.

Weeks ago, a younger friend came around to discuss a business idea he was working on and mentioned this app – Quality time ; This mobile application lets you know how much time you spend on your phone as well as how you spend it, it even lets you set up screen locks for specified times.
My cousin and i live together and she says am on my phone alot so immediately my friend mentioned the app, i knew it will be good for me . Its barely 2 weeks since i downloaded it and here’s what last week’s results of my phone usage looks like…

Phone addiction is a major issue these days and until one finds a healthy balance ;  it will continue to affect personal productivity. Right now am so grateful to have discovered this phone app – Quality time, i highly recommend it to all especially millennials . I hope it helps you manage the excessive time spent on mobile phones so you can become even more productive and connect more with people physically.

I recently set in motion my marketing plans for the year, Marketing should always be top priority in business , it is also important to know that marketing is quite different from sales and apply both in such a way that does not complicate operations in your business.

Below are few marketing tips i apply, will post a detailed article on the basics of marketing in a few days, also look out for the pitch of the month as well.

Marketing Tips
– Select and focus on customers your company can best satisfy.

– Make out time to learn about customers so you offer services/ products that actually meet their needs.
– Marketing should be done to consciously position your brand in the mind of your customers; guide consumers on why they should choose your product or service.
– Marketing strategies should be flexible (you cannot afford to be rigid, results you get as you go along might require you making changes, be open to it).
– Selling is not marketing , marketing is not selling; sales is the actual exchange of cash for your product / service, marketing is developing a demand for your product /service.

I hope this helps, cheers !!!

Yours Truly,
F.O ( The Entrepreneur).

P.S – “My old self has been crucified with Christ.[a] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20 (NLT)
