Understanding your customers journey to you is important,to do this you must analyse how they interact with you from the promotion of your products through sales and after sales service.
-How does your interaction with customers through sales and product cycle help you deliver your value proposition ( the value you are offering)?
-Can/should it be delivered to the customer this way?
-Is this method of interaction sufficient for your business?
-Will this method work as you scale up your business?
– Do you need to test or provide premium customer support service?
At the end of this exercise,you should have a customer journey map, be sure to consider the different market segments and value propositions (if you have more than one) as you develop the customer journey map.
This allows you develop a good relationship with your customers as you are able to hear them clearly and adjust to suit their needs.
For a new start up, it is advised to provide personal support to your customers,that way you get to understand their customer journey so you are able to develop a structured customer journey map which you are able to test ,adjust and scale up as your business grows.
