The diary of a biznessvirgin – Entrepreneur not hustler…

My sole aim of going into business was to “hammer” (“hammer” is a Nigerian slang for “make it big”), and other than to “hammer” ,nothing else mattered .
I was only always interested in converting opportunities that came my way into immediate cash, for me, it was all about the hustle.

In very short time,my business lost everything and i had to go back to the drawing board.
At this point ,i realized i had nothing, nothing at all to fall back on, emm well except a certificate from a renowned Nigerian business school and relationships.

These 2 things though not consciously acquired ,were highly instrumental in rebuilding my business.
Even the business degree came through a scholarship i applied for because it was attached to prize money.

The entire experience of rebuilding the business transformed my outlook on entrepreneurship, it helped me see how much better i am an entrepreneur than i was a hustler.

As a hustler,i only wanted to make money; as an entrepreneur, i create, build, grow and evolve to stay relevant in business.

With this realization , i am proud to say “i am good work in progress”,an Entrepreneur and not a hustler….

Yours truly,
F.O (The Entrepreneur)
